OTI and Eastern Technologies, Inc., merged to become one company in October 2004. The new company will continue to operate under the ETI name and has acquired the rights to the OREX products and processing technology for the nuclear market from Microtek Medical Company. ETI has long been a reputable supplier of laundry processing services to the nuclear industry. ETI’s business is structured around its core philosophy of customer service. The ETI staff possesses numerous years of nuclear experience and decades of laundry processing technical experience. The company prides itself on being able to offer its customers a wide range of options with regards to protective clothing, processing and laundry services.

The OREX portfolio of proprietary technologies includes a variety of materials and treatment and disposal systems. These technologies provide alternatives to traditional contamination control and waste reduction methods. OREX products are designed, developed and manufactured from a family of thermoplastic polymers, including hot-water soluble PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) that may be configured into woven or non-woven fabrics and films, as well as thermoformed and extruded goods.

OREX products perform well and are cost effective. To complete the “life cycle” design, all OREX products may also be dissolved after use in specially designed units, which chemically alter and decontaminate the used products, ultimately leading to tremendous waste volume reductions. OREX processors have been operating in the U.S. without interruption since January of 2002. The results are phenomenal. Through its innovations, OREX offers ecologically sound solutions and an amazing alternative to waste reduction and disposal challenges across a broad range of industries worldwide, including the Nuclear and Industrial segments.

OREX customers are innovative market leaders who require performance protective clothing, decontamination materials and related items. OREX provides many benefits to workers and management alike. The ETI/OREX team is comprised of Nuclear professionals and experts in product design, development and business operations. ETI and its customers appreciate the responsibility we collectively share to improve field performance, lower operating costs and manage challenging waste streams.
